This Indenture mad the 28th day of February in the year 1803
between Edward Kilman of the County of Accomac State of Virginia of the one part
& Thomas Bayly Senr. of the same place of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Edward Kilman in consideration of the sum of Seven
pounds nineteen Shillings and Six pence lawful money of Virginia to him in hand
paid by the said Thomas Bayly at or before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Has bargained and sold and
by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Bayly his heirs and
assigns a certain tract of land which the said Edward Kilman purchased of Thomas
B. Taylor lying on Guilford Creek & containing Sixty acres be the same more
or less together with all and Singular the rights privileges and appurtenances
thereunto belonging: To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with the
rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Thomas
Bayly Senr his heirs and assigns forever.
Provided always and upon condition that if the said Edward Kilman his heirs Executor or administrator shall well & truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas Bayly his heirs Executor administrator or assigns the full & just sum of Seven pounds nineteen Shillings and Six pence with legal interest from the date hereof whenever the same shall be demanded then and without such case and at all time from thenceforth these presents and all the estate hereby granted and every clause and sentence herein contained shall cease determine and be utterly void to all intents & purposes any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding In Witness whereof the said Edward Kilman hath hereunto set his hand and Seal this day and year first above written.

This Deed from Edward Kilman to Thomas Bayly Senr. was proven by the
Oaths of John Burton, Parker Barnes and Edmund Bayly Witnesses thereto and
ordered to be recorded together with an acknowledgement on the said Deed which
was proven also by the Oath of Parker Barnes and ordered to be recorded.
