The deposition of John Wilkins (Black Smith) aged Forty two Years being first sworn on the holy evengilists of Almighty God deposted and saith, that on the first Day of August anno Domini Seventeen hundred & sixty eight being present and in Company with Mr. Nathl Tyson and Jacob Nottingham, heard the said said Nathl ask the said Jacob if he hand paid any Money for the Land he had purchas'd of Mr John Bowdoin & Walter Hyslop and the said Jacob Answerd he had not nor should not before he had a good title made to the Land he had bought as afd. and that the said Bowdoin & Hyslop had not made any Deed at that Time to him the said Jacob, the said Nathaniel thereupon forewar'd the said Jacob from paying any Money to the said Bowdoin or Hyslop as he the said Nathaniel was determined to enjoy his own possession
