This indenture made this third day of July Anno Domini MDCCXLVI between Richard Evans of the Province of Maryland of the one part and Ephraim Vessells of Accomack County in the Colony of Virginia, Planter, of the other part. Land lying and being in the Swamp near the head of Back Creek known by the name of Silverthorne's Ridge bounded on the land of William Young Sen. from thence to the land of Rachel Royal and Mark Evans. It being part of the tract where on Mark Evans now dwells being 50 acres. Mary wife of Richard relinquishes her rights.

30 July 1746 - Richard Evans presented and acknowledged his indenture with [-----] [-----] to Ephraim Vessells to be his act of Deed and admitted to record previous to which Mary, the wife of the said Richard was privately examined and voluntarily relinquished her right of dower in the lands comprising in this venture.
