This Indenture made ths the thirtieth day of June anno Domini one thousand seventeen hndred and ninety between Thomas Custis and Elizabeth his wife of Accomack County & State of Virga, of the one part and John Kilman of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas and Elizabeth for and in consideration of the sum of fifty five Pounds current money to them in hand paid by the said John Kilman at or before the ensealing and delivery of thes presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given Granted Bargained and sold unto the said John Kilman his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the Parish of Accomack and County aforesaid being a part of Jobes Island that said Custis purchased of Richard Taylor and containing fifty acres be the same more or less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in any wise appertaining being Bounded as followeth to wit on the East by the land of John Kilman on the West by the lands of Charles Taylor on the South by the lands formerly the Property of William Young Senior and on the North by the Chesapeake Bay being all the lands which the said Custis holds and possess upon the said Island To have & to Hold the hereby granted and Bargained premises with all and singular the appurtenances to him the said John Kilman his heirs and assigns forever and for no other use interest or purpose whatever But to the only proper use benefit and Behoof of him the said John Kilman his heirs and assigns and the said Thomas and Elizabeth do hereby covenant & & agree with the said John Kilman that they the said Thomas and Elizabeth the aforesaid Granted & Bargained premises with the appurtenances to the siad John Kilman his heirs and assigns against the lawful Claim or Claims of all and every person or Persons claiming under the said Thomas and Elizabeth will Warrant and by these presents forever defend In Testemony whereof the said Thomas and Elizabeth have hereunto set their hands and affixed their Seal ths day and year above mentioned
