This Indenture made this Twenty eighth day of March Anno Domini one thousand Seven hundred and ninety Eight Between Mickeel Bonewell Sr. and Betty his wife of the County of Accomack of the one part and Ebern Bird of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said Mickeel Bonewell Senr and Betty his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and twenty pounds current money of Virginia to them in had paid by the said Ebern Bird at and before the Execution of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given, granted, bargained & sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell, alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Ebern Bird his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Accomack and Parish of St. George containing one hundred and thirty one acres and bounded as follows to wit, on the North by the lands of Major Hornsby lately bought of the said Mickeel Bonewill, on the East by the lands formerly belonging to Richard Bull on the South by the land of Arthur Mears and the Heirs of Thomas Lewis on the west by the land of John Bull and the said Bonwell To have and to hold the aforesaid one hundred and thirty one acres of land together with its appurtenances unto the said Ebern Bird his heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatever and the said Mickeel Bonewell doth by these presents covenant and agree to and with the said Ebern Bird his heirs and assigns that he the said Mckeel Bonwell Senr his Heirs Executors and administrators the before mentioned and bargained one hundred and thirty one acres of land together with the appurtenances unto the said Ebern Bird his heirs and assigns against the lawful clam title or Interest of all and every part thereof He or they shall & will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Testimony whereof the parties to these presents have here unto set their hand and affixed their Seals the day and year first above written.
