This site is virtually non-existent.  The single pieced-together stone pictured above apparently is no longer at the site.  The inscription on the stone is as follows:

Sacred
to the memory of Mary A. Thurston
consort of Azariah Thurston Died Dec. 1, 1841

Sacred
to the memory of Capt. Azariah Thurston
and his crew supposed to have been lost at sea in
1844 Thurston age 4_ {broken off}

Sacred
to the memory of _____ {broken off}
died in St. Domi__ {broken off}

May they
Amen

Mary Ann Williams Thurston was the first wife of Capt. Azariah Thurston, who was lost at sea.  The third person is Azariah Thurston, son of Mary Ann and Capt. Azariah Thurston.  The son died of yellow fever in St. Domingo after the Civil War. - (information from Mary Cannon Godsey.)

(Note that Graven Inscriptions gives the incorrect route number.  It should be Rt. 638, not 637.)
